Job Description
The primary responsibility of the National Accounts Manager is to manage their current customer base and grow it. This position entails that the National Accounts Manager quickly establish a working understanding of commercial title insurance and then further develop their knowledge base to a level of expertise. To be successful in today’s market, one must think within the box as to confines of risk and outside the box for implementation of how to get deals done.

Day-to-Day implementation:
Actively service customers, providing price quotes, following up on orders, order status, providing invoices, file requirements, etc.
Achieve and surpass quarterly new business order and revenue goals that have been established.
Develop a sales plan and a marketing strategy to target specific segments in the industry. Each rep should have at least one active campaign being initiated every month.
Set up presentations and meetings with targeted prospects and key customers.
Continually market oneself within the market through networking functions. Some groups that have proven especially beneficial include: ICSC, CREC, CREW, REFF, ULI, NAIOP, REIA, YREP, etc. Of course, finding lesser known networking events can also be quite beneficial and is encouraged. Reps should attend at least 3 networking functions a month to maintain visibility and increase networking base.
Look for new leads through marketplace news, online trades, word of mouth, etc.
