Job Description
Established almost 24 years ago, our client operates as the exclusive export department for a group of factories in the United States and Canada.

Export / International Sales Representative

The Export / International Sales Representative will build relationships and increase sales for the core products in the company’s four product departments through a defined region of the world to be determined based on experience. This includes optimizing sales and profits with established customers in the established markets as well as with first time buyers in country markets which are new to the company.

• Identify and investigate new or expanding country markets and market segments to determine sales potential for company products and the feasibility of establishing new buyers or introducing additional lines to current buyers
• Seek, evaluate and sell to qualified agents and distributors territory
• Initiate sales action, marketing plans and programs to be carried out by foreign distributors to achieve sales and profit goals; provide leadership guidance in the execution of these programs
• Meet with, entertain and maintain positive relationships with foreign existing and potential customers; arrange for visits of manufacturing facilities
• Maintain superior working knowledge of the company’s top product lines, plus the new-to-market factory lines which the company is trying to launch, including traveling to factories for product training, learning major sales features, marketing segments where product is saleable
• Counsel and communicate regularly with foreign distributors, potential customers and users in regard to new products, new applications, product adaptations, service problems, advertising, promotion and maintenance of general good will
• Analyze and evaluate idea and suggestions from distributors or users relating to improvements in products for marketability and profitability, identify needs and recommend product modification
• Represent company at foreign and domestic trade shows, exhibits and conventions to promote, sell the company products and maintain knowledge of competitive product, trends and sales activities

Ability to travel 3 - 4x per year for 2 - 3 weeks at a time is crucial.

Prior International travel/sales experience a must. Must be bi-lingual. Prefer Spanish, French, or Chinese languages

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package to include health benefits, 401K and paid vacation. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Please note, the above is a base salary only. Good, solid commission structure on top of this.
