Senior Auditor - (Reporting to Audit Manager – Audit & Advisory Services)

Our client is looking for a highly motivated individual to become a member of the Audit and Advisory Services team as a Senior Auditor. The incumbent is responsible for the direction and/or performance of independent audits and internal consulting engagements and to assist the Audit Manager in the supervision and development of audit staff through completion of internal audit assignments. The individual will educate the organization on risk and controls as part of the implementation of Sarbanes Oxley. This individual will support corporate strategic initiatives through project participation as well as work closely with the external audit firm in the execution of direct assistance engagements. A qualified candidate for the position of Senior Auditor must have all of the following skills:
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Economics.
• Current professional certification in one of the following: (CPA, CIA, CFSA, CISA, CFE). Must have the ability to complete all required continuing education requirements.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the field of internal audit and/or public accounting with an emphasis in financial services. Insurance experience preferred.
• Experience in the direction and supervision of audit staff in the execution of financial, operational and/or compliance audits.
• Experience in Sarbanes-Oxley implementation and/or compliance management is preferred.
• Be able to manage time effectively.
• Be able to work independently.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both oral and written.
• Ability to facilitate effective discussion among a small or large group to complete a specific objective.
• The position requires up to 20% of travel.
